What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care. Nutritional Therapists use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns. This approach allows us to work with individuals to address nutritional balance and help the body towards maintaining health. Nutritional Therapy is based on applied nutritional science and is recognised as a complementary medicine. It can be helpful for individuals with chronic health conditions, as well as those looking to support or enhance their existing health and well-being. Nutritional Therapy Practitioners consider each individual to be unique and recommend personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Nutritional Therapy Practitioners never recommend nutritional therapy as a replacement for medical advice and will always refer any client with ‘red flag’ symptoms to their medical professional.

What is Metabolic Balance®?
Metabolic Balance® is a unique nutrition and weight management programme which was developed in Germany in 2002. This award winning programme is an extremely healthy nutrition approach based on years of scientific research. What sets it apart from all other nutrition and diet programmes is that it is completely tailored to YOU. Metabolic Balance® is very exact and uses 35 of your laboratory blood values, your current health symptoms and your medical history to create an individual nutrition programme that is completely unique. Although Metabolic Balance® is extremely beneficial as a weight loss programme, it is also successful at addressing many other health concerns. A typical plan tells you which foods (types of vegetables, fish, meat, cheeses, fruits etc.) are beneficial for your body. It also tells you exactly how much of the food you need to eat, in which combination, and even when you should eat them. Metabolic Balance® is based around a metabolic adjustment, whereby the metabolism is allowed to adjust back to its’ instinctive or natural state. Metabolic Balance® is a plan in 4 phases, which takes your through a cleanse, a 14 day strict phase, a relaxed phase and a maintenance phase. Although the structured part of the programme lasts around 3 months, the positive life and dietary changes are designed to be followed for life.
